Lovers and the Freind: Ch. 1

"I'll try to find my brother later in life," he said thoughtfully one day while working on a machine that looked like a teleporter that you see on Star Trek, "but i need to finish this that way we both have the best fun ever in our lives." At this point in time he's already nineteen years old, his hair was long, sleek and black with a bang over his left eye, his eyes were dark red, his body was an average body not too strong but not too weak, but he did look very skinny even though he ate as though he were a bottomless pit. At that moment he was wearing some blue jeans that were ripped on the right knee and he was wearing a black shirt with red letters saying "Trust me" and white letters finishing it off saying "I'm a ninja." After a bit of tinkering with the machine he took a break and in his mind said, "I've got to finish this machine and find my brother after that we can live safely and happily," now the machine was supposed to be a teleporter but not to teleport you to different places, but to any game that you could imagine. Problem was that the machine always was unsuccessful in transporting him into a game instead he's always transported on a different place in the world and cost him a lot of money to get back to his house, but with every failure he always said, "With every failure I am closer to a success." On this particular day it was raining very hard and lightning and thunder was striking down every few minutes, but he ignored it and continued with fixing his machine, "Just a little bit more here and... DONE!!!" he yelled with a gleam in his eye, "now all I need to do is test it and hope that it works this time." With that he turned on the machine and it gave out a huge hum to show that it was working then he got one of his games and put it in what he and other smart people call an optical disc drive, for people who don't know what that is it's the place where you can put CD's on the side of the computer. That being said he put one of his favorite games called "Shadow the Hedgehog" he loved the shooting and being Shadow because Shadow was someone just like himself, he made friends but in the end was shunned from them, he tried to be bad and then they backstab him and beat him up. No matter what this teen did no one appreciated his efforts, but that being put aside he put the disc in and let the CD go into the machine, he heard the whirring from the CD and heard as all the beeps, clicks, and everything else working together like a well-oiled machine "Its working, ITS WORKING!" he yelled with the happiest voice he had. He started to do a little dance, but with all the cables around he tripped on one and fell flat on his face, "Ouch," he said holding his nose, "ok enough dancing," he said seriously, "that's only one part now I need to hope that it teleports me into the video game."

Grabbing what looked like a GameCube control with no cable he put it in his pocket and stepped onto the place where there was a circle above and below him "Okay well here goes nothing," with that he pushed the button that was right next to him and then the machine started to whir vary fast and the beeping became faster, everything was going fine until suddenly a lightning bolt struck the top of Raiteck's home. The electricity started to zap everywhere, but Raiteck stayed focus on completing the transportation to the game and he'd worry about the damages later, but suddenly the machine started to zap as well and go hay wire he closed his eyes and repeated in his head "Complete the teleportation, complete the teleportation," and by the tenth time he said it he heard something explode and everything became white. He opened his eyes and saw a metal ceiling "Metal ceiling?" he wondered to himself, "Do they have those in heaven?" he got up with a groan and held his head, "Ugh man that is the worst experience I have ever had," as he lowered his hand from his head he saw that he was wearing a white glove "Huh, a glove? I wasn't wearing a glove before." He then saw that he had black legs and shoes that he was never wearing, they looked like the shoes that shadow wears only they were red and black and they didn't have the hover holes under them and also he had a black body and black arms and on his chest was a red mark that looked like the omega sign and the thing was all the black surrounding him was fur and so was the red sign on his chest but all the fur seemed to be smooth and not poofy. "W-what the heck, what is this?!" he then looked up and saw a strange sign on a metal wall and it looked like the face of a person that he knew, so he got up and walked towards it to get a better look. The face seemed to have glasses which had swirls in each glass and it also had a moustache, but the thing that caught his attention was that it seemed to be shaped almost how you would see an egg. "An egg shaped face? ..... Oh, I know this place is the lair of Dr. -" before he could finish a giant voice started yelling "INTRUDERR ALERT INTRUDER ALERT UNKOWN IDENTITY IN SECTOR 3." "Oh crap, I'm in trouble," he started to look around for a way out and saw a big door on his left and started running towards it, but before he could get out an all too familiar face came in and started to yell at Raiteck.

"Huh, sonic or is that you shadow?" seeing Raiteck more closely he noticed he was neither "Who are you, you hedgehog I've never seen you around and why do you look like shadow and sonic?" "Oh great out of all the people to run into first I had to run into YOU Dr. Eggman," saying his name in disgust "How do you know me, I've never met you once…" he then noticed the sign of omega on his chest "Omega, are you working with that traitorous robot?!" "What?" Raiteck said in confusion "I haven't…" knowing the position he was in he decided to create a different story "Uh, no I came here by mistake this mark is just a mark I've had since birth it means nothing." "Hmm" Eggman thought for a while stroking his mustache slowly "and how did you come in here by mistake?" Ratieck quickly thought of the first thing that came to his mind "Um I was practicing Chaos Control and mistakenly teleported here I am still learning how to use it, also I am new here and this is the first time I see your lab I've heard many things of this place." Eggman started to get a little suspicious "What kind of things?" Raiteck knew if he said he's heard bad things he'd get shot at and he still didn't know how to combat in the form he was in and on top of that he didn't even know how he looked like he only knew how his body looked like not his face. So he decided to make up a lie "Oh no, I've heard many good things, like this place is the best place to take over the world, and this is a wonderful place to try to destroy anyone in your way," and being a gamer who always chose good over evil, he hated every word he said. "Oh, well in that case let me show you around a little more." "Sure, thanks" Raiteck said while in his mind he was yelling every bad word anyone could imagine.

As they were walking along Raiteck suddenly noticed a black hedgehog with an omega sign on his chest and shoes that were like shadows, but had no hover holes and his quills were almost exactly like Sonic's only that some of the quills acted like a bang over his left eye. As he wondered who the hedgehog could be he noticed that that he was moving the exact same way as himself, "Is… is that me?" he wondered he moved a bit more and confirmed that the reflection was him, "well I don't look too bad in fact I'd say this is awesome." He laughs a bit and Eggman turns around to see Raiteck looking at his own reflection and laughing "Having fun there… hmm what is your name anyway?" Thinking of what to say he looked at the sign on his chest and decided to wing it, "My name is Raiteck Omega Lived" he lowered his head to not show his scowl and through gritted teeth said "at your service." "Hmm," Eggman looked at him and as Raiteck raised his face Eggman saw the scars on his left eye, "well Raiteck I'm curious to know how you got those scars on your left eye." Raiteck put his left hand on his left eye and remembered the moment he got it he then lowered his hand and glared at Eggman with so much rage in his eyes it caused Eggman to flinch, "Let's just say the person who did this will wish he was dead before doing this to me… well shall we continue?" saying the last part with a smile as if he never glared at Eggman. "Yes," a sweat drop fell from his head "well let me show you something, I found her snooping around trying to take one of my chaos emeralds." "Her?" thought Raiteck in his mind he started to analyze who it could be, "well in all the games of sonic that I've played the only one that I've seen who shows interest in the chaos emeralds is Rouge, but she rarely gets captured at all. So the only other whose ever tried to steal the emeralds is Amy, who only tries to get the emerald to try and help out her friends and Sonic, but mostly for Sonic." He then remembers all the times Amy's been captured, trapped, held hostage, and been freed, "… Oh yeah it is definitely Amy no doubt about it," as both Eggman and Raiteck were reaching their destination, Raiteck noticed the exit not too far away and was about to run for it, but didn't want to leave whoever was captured, but he was pretty sure it was Amy, in the hands of Eggman so he continued to follow Eggman.

Finally they reached a chamber which looked like a dungeon and jail cells were all around and only one was occupied by someone who looked like a little pink hedgehog "Now I am definitely sure it's Amy," and they got closer to her cage. "Hey you little rat wake up!" yelled Eggman shaking her cage and startling the poor girl, Raiteck clenched his fist, but knew better than to attack at that moment, "What do you want Egghead?" Amy said with distaste in her words Raiteck stifled a laugh, but Eggman was not amused, "You'd better be careful what you say you little hedgehog we wouldn't want Sonic to receive you in a body bag," he chuckled at the last things he said causing Amy to tremble a little, but stopped after a few seconds she then looked down in sadness "I just wanted to introduce you to a new person I've met and might work for me soon." Raiteck hearing this said in his mind "Dude I wouldn't join you for three reasons 1. You suck at defeating anyone 2. I wouldn't dream of calling you my boss and 3. I wouldn't want to work under a guy called Eggman," but stayed quiet and said nothing. Amy only able to see his figure thought it was sonic at first since Raiteck's quills were like his, "Sonic, is that you? Are you going to work for Eggman!?" "Ho ho ho, no, it isn't that annoying blue hedgehog," Eggman chuckled, "step closer." Raiteck hated being ordered around especially since it was Eggman doing the ordering, but he obeyed and took one step closer, Amy seeing the black fur thought it was Shadow this time, "Sh-Shadow, is that you? I thought you weren't going to work for Eggman anymore." "Nope, wrong again it isn't that traitorous hedgehog either, since it's your fault he left my side, step even closer and state your name once she sees you." Raiteck finally stepped close enough for Amy to see him and she looked surprise to see another hedgehog that looked like both Sonic and Shadow, "Who are you?" she asked in wonder, "My name is Raiteck Omega Lived" he answered almost as if he was in the army, "You're going to work for Eggman?" he winced at those words, but only said yes, "Well Raiteck I have some business to attend to," Eggman said already leaving, "I just need you to watch over her so she stays alive till Sonic gets here which won't be too long and make sure she doesn't get out. UNDERSTAND!" he yelled the last word making Raiteck see red, but kept his head straight "Crystal," Raiteck said straining his voice to sound at peace.

Minutes have already gone bye and neither Amy nor Raiteck said anything to each other, wanting to break the ice Raiteck decided to speak first, "So how does it feel to be a game character?" wanting to know how it felt like to be a game character and not worry about work in the real world. "A game character, what are you talking about? Is that what this is to you a game?" Amy asked getting angry from the question Raiteck asked, "Um, yeah that's what this is, a video game you're a video game character and I used a machine to teleport me into this game." "Well I don't know where you are from and I certainly have never seen you before, but this is not a game this is real life and everyone in this place is real too. Nothing here is a game there are no missions, no power-ups, and certainly no extra lives." As Amy said this, her voice got into an angrier ton, noticing the angry tone Raiteck knew not to make a woman angrier than how she already is and he learned that lesson the hard way. "Oh okay," Said Raiteck not wanted to let what happened before happen again, but then noticed something, "wait, if this isn't a video game how do you know what's in a video game?" "What do you mean how do I know, I see kids from time to time playing with their games." After hearing this Raiteck thought what could've happened, was he not in the video game "Shadow the Hedgehog," but then he noticed that the black creatures haven't attacked, nor has the black comet been shown in the paper or seen in the sky for that matter. As he thought more and more on what could've happened he figured out that the electric shock to the house must've scrambled the teleportation device and instead of sending him into the game he wanted, he was actually sent into the universe of the game put in. So in this case it's a sonic game put in so he was sent to the universe where Sonic and his friends are so it's not a teleporter to video games, but a teleporter to any universe of any game where you turn into one of the people of the game and not only that you can act freely as a normal human would on earth.

Raiteck started to chuckle after thinking about this for a few minutes and then suddenly was laughing like a madman Amy saw him and asked, "Um are you ok? Why are you laughing like that it's creeping me out." She said this because hearing him laugh in such a way made it seem that he was crazy causing her to tremble at that laugh, but hearing this caused him to stop laughing and calm down, "Oh sorry, I was just happy that I actually succeeded in something, you see I-" before he could finish a sudden explosion could be heard outside and alarms started to go off. Amy gasped and said, "I think it's sonic he's finally come to save me." "Sonic?" Raiteck asked with a little distaste in his mouth, "Yeah sonic is here and he's going to set me free and beat you and Eggman up." Amy said with a lot of happiness "Ha ha then that's a good thing." Amy suddenly looked puzzled, "Good, how is that good you're going to be beat up and so is Eggman and both of you are going to fail in stopping him how is that good!?" Before saying anything else he unlocked the cage Amy was in and let Amy get out and at this point Amy didn't know what was going on right now. Seeing Amy's puzzled face he decided to explain what was going on, "I am not working for Eggman when he found me I was new to him and  he thought I was going to stop him, but I knew better than to fight him at that time since I wasn't used to this body." "Not used to your body? What do you mean?" Amy wondered at these particular words, "I'll tell you another time the point is though I am not a bad guy and I now where the exit is so come on and let's get out of here hopefully we see Sonic on the way." "Um ok" the pink hedgehog had no idea whether to believe him or not, but he let her go so she decided to trust him. Before they could get out of the chamber though, the large metal doors exploded and were headed straight for Raiteck and Amy seeing this he remembered the moment his family crashed and thought the doors were the glass shards again, he started to tremble and yelled, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" with that yell the doors stopped in midway and fell with a huge, THUD! Raiteck and Amy stared at what just happened and wondered what could've caused that, but before they could think more of it they looked into the smoke to see who could've caused the doors to blast open through the smoke the saw the figure of a hedgehog, "Sonic?" Amy asked hoping it was the blue hedgehog, but Raiteck saw that the quills on the hedgehogs head, none of the quills were spike down in fact, they moved down but then spiked up making it look like the quills on, "Shadow?"
